Program name & description

The J. Jacobs & Associates Customer Care Texting Program sends transactional, conversational text messages from J. Jacobs & Associates, an independent insurance agency in Lake Orion, Michigan, to existing customers and active insurance-quote applicants. Messages relate to the customer's own quote or policy — for example, requests for documents needed to complete an insurance quote the customer asked us to prepare (with a secure upload link), and brief service follow-ups. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this program.

Opt-in

You opt in by providing your mobile phone number to your agent — over the phone, in person, or on a quote request form on our websites — and consenting to receive text messages about your quote or policy. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your quote or policy activity, and is typically low — for most customers, a few messages per quote or service request.

Fees

Message and data rates may apply. Any such charges are billed by your mobile carrier per your mobile plan. We do not charge for text messages.

Opt-out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will confirm your unsubscribe status and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, provide your phone number to your agent again or reply START.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
